REMEMBERING MAYA ANGELOU:
A COMMUNITY MURAL
[June 2014, Milwaukee] Maya Angelou deeply impacted our lives and the lives of many, many others. When we heard she'd passed, we decided to change the plans for our interactive installation at Bay View Gallery Night at the last minute, and invited the community to join us in creating a mural in honor of this phenomenal woman and incredible artist.
Later, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee commissioned one of the images from the mural to promote their writing workshop "In Memoriam: Maya Angelou."
